What are cookies?

Which cookies do we use?
Necessary (no consent needed): language preference, consent record and Google Consent Mode v2 defaults (max 12 months).
Analytics (consent only): privacy-friendly, anonymised counters. No full IP, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.
Advertising — Google AdSense (consent only): with your 'Advertising' consent we load the Google AdSense script (publisher ca-pub-3508898700251977). Google may set cookies and identifiers to show personalised or non-personalised ads, prevent fraud and measure performance. More: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google Consent Mode v2
By default ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage are 'denied'. Only when you grant consent do we send an 'update' signal to Google.
Withdraw consent
Use 'Cookie settings' in the footer any time, or clear cookies via your browser.
Retention
Functional: max 12 months. Consent record: 12 months (localStorage). Advertising / analytics cookies: per Google's retention policy.
